Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education teacher to join an onsite LD classroom near Gaffney, SC. This full-time contract role focuses on delivering individualized instruction to students with learning disabilities in a self-contained setting.

The ideal candidate holds valid SC certification in Special Education or is eligible for certification, can adapt instruction, and collaborates with families and staff to support student goals.

Qualifications

• Valid (or pending) South Carolina certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with learning disabilities preferred.
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration with families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction in a self-contained LD classroom.
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate with parents and team members.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff.
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and engaging learning environment for all students.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities.
