Job summary

Fremont Public Schools in Fremont, Nebraska seeks a Special Education Paraeducator (Resource 3/Prekindergarten) for Grant Elementary. You will support classroom teachers, assist with student-centered activities, and help with therapy tasks in a collaborative setting.

Starting August 2026, the role runs 7 hours per day on student days. Bilingual applicants may earn higher starting wages; benefits include retirement, health/dental plans, paid leave, and additional insurance options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; postsecondary training desired.
• Drivers license, First Aid/CPR certificate desired.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support under supervision of teachers and therapists.
• Assist with personal care needs, feeding, toileting, and transfers as applicable.
• Support therapy activities and implement behavior management under guidance.
• Prepare instructional aids, materials, and bulletin boards.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate progress with parents or staff as allowed.
