Job summary

Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 is hiring a full-time paraeducator to support special education classes under the supervision of the Supervisor of Special Education. The schedule is 7.50 hours/day, Monday through Friday, 185 days/year, with a minimum hourly rate of $20.00.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and PDE credential options within 6 months, plus 20 hours of staff development annually. CPR/First Aid is desirable; CPI/SCM/QBS safety training may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Must meet PDE credential requirements or equivalent within 6 months or provide alternative qualifications.
• Provide evidence of 20 hours of staff development annually.
• Certification options: CPR/First Aid/AED desired.
• Certification required: CPI/SCM/QBS Safety-Care or approved equivalent.
• Must be able to lift and assist with students and manage crisis situations per training.

Responsibilities
