Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; PDE credential option or equivalent.
• May complete PDE Credential within 6 months of employment.
• 2 years postsecondary study or an associate degree acceptable.
• Meets a rigorous standard of quality via an approved assessment within 6 months.
• Provide evidence of 20 hours of staff development each school year.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to the teacher and students.
• Work under the supervision of the program supervisor of special education.
• Assist in lifting or supporting students as needed; handle basic classroom tasks.
