Job summary

Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 is seeking full-time paraeducators to support students in special education programs. You will provide instructional support to the teacher under the program supervisor of special education, with a schedule of 7.50 hours per day, 8:15 am–3:45 pm, Monday–Friday, 185 days per year, and a minimum hourly salary of $20.00.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, and must meet one of PDE’s credentials or equivalents within six months.

Qualifications

Education required: high school diploma or GED.
Must meet PDE credential OR 2 years of postsecondary study (48 credits) OR an associate degree or higher OR a rigorous standard of quality assessment within 6 months of employment.
Each school year, provide evidence of 20 hours of staff development activities related to position.

Responsibilities

Provide instructional support to the teacher (instructional leader) and students under the supervision of the program supervisor of special education.
Support students in special education classes or programs as required by the position.
Assist with basic data entry, internet/email usage, word processing and spreadsheets as part of daily tasks.
