Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Passing score on Paraprofessional Assessment – Range I.
• 60 college credit hours or AA degree or higher – Range II.
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• English language knowledge including reading, writing and oral communication.
• Spanish knowledge desirable (reading/writing/oral).
• Experience with office equipment (Word/Excel) and basic clerical tasks.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions; maintain professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Provide extra assistance to students with special needs.
• Present subject matter under teacher direction.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce concepts.
• Monitor student progress and record data for IEPs.
• Assist with preparation of instructional materials and visual aids.
• Distribute and collect tests and homework as directed.
• Supervise students and enforce classroom rules.
• Maintain student records and documentation.
• Support health and safety policies in classroom and school areas.
• Attend parent meetings and communicate program policies and events.
