Sylvania is seeking a part-time Special Education Instructional Aide for the Intermediate School. The role runs 5 hours daily (10:00 am–3:00 pm), follows the school calendar, and does not include benefits. You will assist staff with IEPs, supervise lunch and recess, and work with students of varied abilities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, be organized, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to engage students, staff, and the community.

Special Education Instructional Aide, Intermediate School

Part-time, regular position. 5 hours per day (hours 10:00 am to 3:00 pm), follows the school calendar, and does not include insurance benefits.

Qualifications include:

1. High School diploma or equivalent (preferably a college degree including courses in education and preferably holds a valid Wisconsin teaching certificate)


2. Ability and willingness to work with students of all abilities


3. Demonstrate knowledge of basic educational classroom operations


4. High degree of organization, self-initiative and accuracy in work performed


5. Possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills and project a positive and courteous attitude and image to the staff, students, and community


6. Ability and skills needed to work as part of an educational team


7. Assist Special Education staff in supporting student IEP’s.


8. Supervision during lunch and recess.
