Job summary

Sylvania is seeking motivated individuals to support teachers and students in a full-time, 10-month school-term role for the 2026/2027 year. The position focuses on autistic and multiple disabilities support, requiring patience, effective communication, and initiative.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for motivated individuals who are looking to make a difference in the community and in the lives of the students we serve! This position is responsible for assisting teachers with instructional support to meet daily lesson plans provided by the teacher as well as the goals of each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Works with students with varying ability levels and needs in a classroom setting. Candidates must have a high degree of patience, ability to effectively use verbal skills to communicate with teachers, students, supervisors and parents, ability to take initiative and creatively solve problems, and possess the ability to be flexible and adapt to various and challenging environments.

Full-time, 10 month (school term) M-F. Positions available for the 2026/2027 school year in Autistic Support and Multiple Disabilities Support/Autistic Support.
