Job summary

Sylvania is seeking motivated individuals to assist teachers with instructional support for students under the IEP framework in a classroom setting.

This full-time, 10-month position runs Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM, supporting daily lesson plans and student progress, with ongoing training provided and a focus on collaborative teamwork within a school environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with students preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for motivated individuals who are looking to make a difference in the community and in the lives of the students we serve!

This position is responsible for assisting teachers with instructional support to meet daily lesson plans provided by the teacher as well as the goals of each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). Works with students with varying ability levels and needs in a classroom setting. Candidates must have a high degree of patience, ability to effectively use verbal skills to communicate with teachers, students, supervisors and parents, ability to take initiative and creatively solve problems, and posses the ability to be flexible and adapt to various and challenging environments.

Full-time-10 month (school term) Monday-Friday 7:15 AM-2:30 PM
