Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification must be completed within 30 days of start date.
• Candidates must have 60 credits or an associate degree or pass ParaEducator/ParaPro exam.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and recordkeeping abilities.
• Ability to work with technology and computers, and to supervise students.

Responsibilities

• Manage behavior by redirecting, calming or removing disruptive students.
• Monitor and record student progress in academics, daily living skills, dressing and social skills.
• Assist with toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting and transporting students as needed; work in building.
• Maintain regular attendance and follow behavioral management programs.
