Flik Independent School Dining in Westlake Village, CA is seeking a full-time Sous Chef to join Oaks Christian School. Prior sous chef experience is required. You will prepare foods, supervise cooks, and ensure production standards. Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday; hours may vary.

Responsibilities

Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
Supervises hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, and disciplinary processes where appropriate.
Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and workstation; ensures proper serving temperatures and presentation.
Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and communicates them to associates and customers.
Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
Monitors inventory and deliveries; informs supervisor when supplies are low.
Performs other duties as assigned.
