Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining in Tampa, FL is hiring a Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods for a high-volume school dining program. You will coordinate activities of cooks and food-service staff and assume leadership in the Executive Chef's absence.

The role requires 3 years of culinary experience in a high-volume setting and the ability to follow approved recipes and production standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years of culinary experience in a high-volume food service setting preferred.
• Experience supervising hourly staff.
• Ability to follow approved recipes and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates.
• Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and keeps workstation clean.
