Job summary

Orchard View Post Acute in Lewiston, Idaho is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our rehab team full-time. You will evaluate residents, create treatment plans, treat dysphagia, and help residents improve speech, language, and cognitive-communication skills.

We value teamwork and clear documentation. A Master's in Speech-Language Pathology and an Idaho license are required, ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; CFs welcome.

Qualifications

• Active SLP license in Idaho, or the ability to get one.
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred. Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply!
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Skilled nursing, rehab, or geriatric experience is a plus.
• A warm, patient approach and a love of teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating residents and creating individualized treatment plans.
• Treating swallowing disorders (dysphagia) and recommending safe diet textures.
• Helping residents improve speech, language, voice, and cognitive-communication skills.
• Teaching residents, families, and staff strategies for safe eating and better communication.
• Working closely with PT, OT, nursing, dietary, and physicians to help each resident reach their goals.
• Taking part in care conferences and discharge planning.
• Keeping clear, timely documentation in our electronic health record.

Education

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
