Job summary

Orchard View Post Acute in Lewiston, ID, is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and treat dysphagia while advancing communication and cognitive-communication skills.

Candidates must hold an active Idaho SLP license and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology; CFs welcome. ASHA CCC-SLP is preferred. Expect $65-$75/hour with comprehensive benefits and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Active SLP license in Idaho, or the ability to obtain one.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; CFs welcome to apply.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or geriatric settings is a plus.
• Warm, patient approach with strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating residents and creating individualized treatment plans.
• Treating swallowing disorders (dysphagia) and recommending safe diet textures.
• Helping residents improve speech, language, voice, and cognitive-communication skills.
• Teaching residents, families, and staff strategies for safe eating and better communication.
• Working with PT, OT, nursing, dietary, and physicians to reach goals.
• Participating in care conferences and discharge planning.
• Maintaining clear documentation in the electronic health record.
