Job summary

International Executive Service Corps seeks a full-time Sign Language Interpreter to provide high-quality interpreting via video and on-site at diverse client locations. Under the supervision of the Communication Center Manager, you will use fluent ASL and spoken English, adhering to NAD-RID standards and professional conduct.

This role requires 36 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and English interpretation abilities.
• Must provide accurate interpretation.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture.
• Knowledge of NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or credentials where applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and onsite interpreting.
• Support and model the company's mission and values.
• Deliver excellent customer service with professionalism.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts, and accurate record keeping.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies.
• Adapt to new technologies and multi-task during shifts.
• Travel to customer locations as needed.
