Job summary

Sir Grout of NE Florida is hiring a FULL TIME Service Technician in the Jacksonville area. You will restore and reseal marble, travertine and tile surfaces in homes and businesses using our machinery and materials while ensuring customer satisfaction.

The role requires a strong customer focus, ability to work independently, and comfortable with lifting heavy equipment. Valid Florida driver license and MVR are expected; path includes weekday and some Saturday/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in trades or construction preferred and customer focused.
• Must be able to operate or learn the 175rpm floor/swing machine and related tools.
• Able to lift heavy equipment and maintain a neat, safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor/hard surface restoration work in homes and businesses.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with high-quality service.
• Use machinery to restore and reseal marble, travertine and tile surfaces.
• Interact professionally with customers and maintain a clean work area.
• Travel to jobs across Duval, St John’s, Nassau and Clay counties.

It\'s a "hands-on" role where you will be using our unique machinery and materials to restore and reseal marble, travertine and tile floors, showers, counter tops and other hard surface areas that are damaged and in need of beautifying. This is not an office position.

An Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have

• A "customer first" attitude and an ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Some experience working with a 175rpm floor machine or "swing machine"
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Must be meticulous and organized.
• Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.
• Reliable work ethic, honest and on time. Especially on time!
• Must be trainable; able to follow specific instructions. Able to lift heavy equipment (75 lbs.).
• Available weekdays, occasional Saturdays and some evenings.
• A working cell phone
• Previous stone restoration, tile installation, construction background and sales experience all a major PLUS.
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG TEST.
• A CLEAN DRIVER RECORD IS NECESSARY FOR EMPLOYMENT
• A FLORIDA MVR IS REQUIRED FOR EMPLOYMENT

Compensation

• Salary starts at $18 -$20 an hour or more depending on experience, leading to progressive commission based compensation.

POSITION LOGISTICS

• Location: Position covers all of Duval, St John’s, Nassau, and Clay counties
• Environment: Mostly inside homes and businesses (95%); some outdoor (5%)
• Equipment: Provided by Sir Grout
• Materials: Provided by Sir Grout
• Must have your own vehicle and phone
