Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services seeks a Culinary Server for Baptist Retirement Community in San Angelo, TX onsite. This full-time position supports residents with dining service and ensures meals meet Buckner standards of quality, service, and hospitality.

You will help set tables, prepare beverages and food, serve in dining rooms, and maintain sanitation and cleanliness throughout the dining areas. Buckner is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and understand English business documents.
• Must be able to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.
• Must be able to be understood clearly by others.
• Must be able to understand and follow basic written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to move food serving and preparation equipment up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds continuously.

Responsibilities

• Set tables; bus tables, wash off tables after meals.
• Responsible for preparing beverages and food as required.
• Serve food in dining rooms or other areas as required.
• Serve beverages to residents as required.
• Blend food in electric blender; prepare steam table.
• Prepare hot cart and serve food; clean and sanitize carts.
• Wash dishes; scrape and rack dishes; sort, stack, store clean dishes.
• Mop, sweep, and clean work area.
