Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services, based in Austin, TX, is seeking a dedicated Culinary Server to join our senior living community in a full-time, onsite capacity. You will play a key role in all phases of service, from table setup to beverage and food service, while maintaining safety and hospitality standards.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly in English, follow basic instructions, and work well in a team to ensure compassionate, high-quality dining experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read, write and understand business documents in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally with residents, families and coworkers.
• Ability to follow basic written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to move equipment up to 20 lbs occasionally and more in anticipation of service flow.
• Must be in good health to perform duties in a senior living environment.

Responsibilities

• Set tables; bus tables and clean dining areas after meals.
• Prepare beverages and food as required for service.
• Serve food in dining rooms or other areas as needed.
• Serve beverages to residents as required.
• Blend food and set up steam tables for service.
• Prepare hot carts, serve food, and sanitize carts.
• Mop, sweep and clean work area; take out trash.
