Job summary

CRV Surveillance, LLC in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Fire & Security Systems Installer to install, maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and related systems on client sites. You will work with an installation team under the Lead Technician, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and safety standards.

The role requires hands-on skills with low-voltage wiring, testing equipment, and a solid knowledge of security hardware.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience: minimum 3 years as a fire alarm/security systems installer.
• Certifications: AESBL, NICET, NFPA, ESA or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Other: Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to lift and carry.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test fire alarm and security systems per plans and specs.
• Run wiring, mount devices, and connect systems to network infrastructure.
• Inspect and test installed systems for proper functionality and code compliance.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting under Lead Technician guidance.
• Collaborate with team and communicate effectively on job sites; follow safety rules.
