Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws; driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, data center areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, assisting with routine inquiries, maintaining awareness of assigned areas, and following Allied Universal and site-specific post orders.
