Job summary

The Resort at Papakea, operated by Columbia Hospitality, Inc., is hiring a Full-time Security Officer. You will help maintain a safe environment, coordinate with local authorities, and assist guests and residents with requests while upholding professional standards.

Ideal candidates possess an active HI Guard Card, 2+ years of related experience, and strong verbal and people skills, with fluent English for safety communications.

Qualifications

• Active HI Guard Card required.
• Two years related security experience or training preferred.
• Excellent verbal and people skills are required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently for safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure building is a safe and secure environment at all times.
• Maintain a close working relationship with police and alarm monitoring services.
• Ensure proper building safety and security measures are followed at all times.
• Maintain up-to-date information on events in the city and county.
• Answer the telephone in a pleasant and professional manner within three rings.
• Keep a clean, neat and orderly desk at all times.
• Respond to resident and guest requests promptly.

What You Bring

• Active HI Guard Card required
• Two years related experience and/or training
• Possess excellent verbal and people skills
• The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required to analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
