The Resort at Papakea, operated by Columbia Hospitality, Inc., is seeking a Part-time Security Officer to help keep guests and staff safe in a beautiful Hawaiian setting. The role focuses on maintaining a secure environment, responding to incidents, and coordinating with local law enforcement and alarm services as needed.

Applicants should have an active HI Guard Card, at least two years of related experience, excellent verbal and people skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Active HI Guard Card is required.
• Two years related experience and/or training.
• Excellent verbal and people skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the building is a safe and securite environment at all times.
• Maintains a close working relationship with the police and alarm monitoring services
• Ensures proper building safety and security measures are followed at all times
• Maintains up to date information of events, both current and future, occurring in the city and county
• Answers the telephone in a pleasant and professional manner within three rings
• Maintains a clean, neat and orderly desk at all times
• Responds to all resident and/or guest requests in an expeditious manner
