Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. on Maui’s resort properties is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper to maintain landscaping grounds and assist with general upkeep across tropical settings. You will ensure tools and safety features are maintained and work plans are executed in a timely and professional manner.

The role requires flexibility to perform multiple tasks in a resort environment on Maui’s Kaanapali Coast, with a culture focused on exceptional guest experiences and a values-driven team approach.

Qualifications

• Must have a general understanding of landscaping.
• Must have knowledge and the ability to operate tools, hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the landscaping grounds and other general upkeep.
• Ensure the security, cleanliness, and maintenance of all department tools and equipment.
• Keep all work areas clean and store tools and spare parts properly.
• Care for tools and equipment used to perform tasks.
• Complete delegated work orders timely and professionally.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

What Success Looks Like:

Your Impact

• Maintain the landscaping grounds and other general upkeep.
• Ensure the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance and repair of all department tools, equipment and safety features are in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure all work areas are kept in a clean and orderly manner and storing all tools, equipment, and spare parts in proper location.
• Responsible for the proper treatment and care of tools and equipment used to perform tasks.
• Responsible to complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Reports and addresses unsafe conditions immediately.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Located on Maui's Kaanapali Coast, The Resort at Papakea features 13 oceanfront acres of stunning gardens and expansive ocean views. The Resort's condominium accommodations include guest studios, one-, two and three-bedroom suites all of which offer private, furnished balconies or lanais with spectacular garden or ocean views.
