Job summary

Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea, Hawaii seeks a Security Officer to ensure safety for guests and colleagues on a luxury all-suite resort. You will provide security support, respond to incidents, and help enforce safety protocols across the property.

The role requires a Hawaii Guard Card, a high school diploma (or equivalent) and may involve varied schedules including weekends and holidays. A strong emphasis is placed on customer service, teamwork, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or vocational training.
• Security, law enforcement, and/or loss prevention experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide security, emergency, and first aid assistance
• Implement, as directed by the Security Manager, all policies and programs related to Security Services
• Guide and support all leaders and colleagues with respect to safety & security procedures
• Educate all new Fairmont colleagues on safety & security
• Assist in the training of all new security officers
• Create and maintain proper documentation on any incidents reported by guests or colleagues
• Ensure adherence to Lost & Found procedures including accepting items with proper documentation, assisting colleagues & guests with inquiries, maintaining accurate logs and following retention guidelines.
• Investigate and follow up on any reports made by guests or colleagues
• Review the business continuity plan with the security manager and ensure that all updates are communicated to colleagues, and that all necessary training is provided
• Conduct lock interrogations and assist Engineering Department with lock repairs
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols

As a Security Officer, your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure your hotel remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.

Hourly Rate: $29.93

What you will be doing:

Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.

• State of Hawaii Guard Card
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean Driver’s Abstract
• CPR/First Aid Certification
