Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license in the job state.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining entry records, and directing personnel and deliveries.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders; document incidents and access-control activities.
