Job summary

Allied Universal in Linden, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Entry Control Driver. You will monitor entry points at a chemical/petrochemical location, verify IDs, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment.

The role includes driving duties, routine patrols, and log maintenance. Must have at least 1 year security experience, high school diploma, valid driver's license, and pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access at assigned entry points by verifying identification and credentials.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, visitor records, and incident documentation.
• Respond to access-control concerns, alarms, and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned entry points and perimeter locations.
