Job summary

Compass Group USA's Bon Appétit unit at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR is hiring for full-time cook positions. The role requires prior cooking experience, with high-volume, scratch cooking preferred, and offers $20 per hour.

You will prepare food to standard recipes, manage portions and temperatures, maintain kitchen cleanliness, assist in ordering and production planning, and follow safety and HACCP guidelines. Training is provided and benefits are available for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience is required.
• Previous high-volume scratch cooking experience is preferred.
• Willing to train!

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
