Job summary

West Hartford Public Schools in Bristow Middle School is seeking a full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students with social-emotional-behavioral needs. Qualifications

• Completion of 40-hour online course and supervision hours by a BCBA.
• Must pass the RBT Competency Assessment and the initial RBT examination with recertification.
• Must have current certification or be able to obtain Physical Management Training certification.
• Applicant must be at least 18 years old with high school diploma or equivalent and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Implement student Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Maintain and report student records.
• Communicate with classroom teachers regarding student progress.
• Perform Physical Management in emergencies.
• Adhere to RBT Ethics Code and duties as assigned by supervisor.
