Qualifications

• Master's Degree in School Psychology (internship year) required.
• Education Specialist or Doctorate in School Psychology preferred for all other candidates.
• Commitment to all students' education, creative planning and organizational skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills.
• MN Teaching Licensure in School Psychology or ability to obtain licensure required.
• Nationally Certified School Psychologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and academic functioning.
• Use standardized tests, observations, and interviews to gather data on a student's needs, strengths, and areas for growth.
• Interpret assessment results and collaborate with professionals to determine interventions.
• Advocate for students with disabilities to ensure access to resources.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and review IEPs.
• Provide recommendations for services, accommodations, and modifications based on assessment results.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
• Design BIPs for students with significant behavioral challenges.
• Provide counseling and support for students dealing with anxiety, depression, or trauma.
• Offer individual and group counseling focusing on coping and social skills.
