Job summary

Edina Public Schools is seeking a full-time Custodian at Edina High School. You will clean assigned areas, restrooms, hallways and gyms to maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment. You will assist with loading district materials, deliveries, and furniture moves for building changes.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; boiler/pool licenses are preferred or obtainable. The wage ranges from $25.05 to $26.76 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Boiler license preferred or ability to obtain one.
• Pool license preferred or ability to obtain one.
• Mechanical aptitude for performing and learning repair work.
• Experience as a custodian is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, employees, and visitors.
• Ability to collaborate with employees and follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning within assigned areas, hallways, restrooms and gyms.
• Support safe, clean learning environment for students, faculty and staff.
• Assist with loading/unloading of district materials and deliveries.
• Relocate desks, chairs and equipment during building moves.
• Provide assistance for day and evening school activities.
