Job summary

Edina Public Schools is seeking a Custodian at Edina High School to maintain a safe, clean learning environment. The position is full-time, 8 hours per day (8:00am - 4:30pm, Tue-Fri and 7:00am-3:30pm Sat) with 12-month employment and non-exempt status.

Responsibilities include cleaning assigned areas, assisting with materials and moves, and supporting district activities. Salary ranges from $25.05 to $26.76 per hour, with benefits including health, dental, vision, PERA, 403(b) employer match,

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Boiler license preferred or ability to obtain one.
Pool license preferred or ability to obtain one.
Mechanical aptitude for performing and learning repair work.
Custodian experience preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
Ability to effectively communicate with students, employees, and visitors.
Ability to effectively collaborate with employees.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning within assigned areas, hallways, restrooms, gyms and school areas.
Assist with loading and unloading of district materials and deliveries.
Relocate desks, chairs, and equipment during building moves; support day and evening school activities.
