Edina Public Schools is seeking a Custodian Substitute (On-Call) to support the district by performing general cleaning in assigned areas, hallways, restrooms, gyms and school areas, following schedules and work assignments to provide a safe, clean learning environment for students, faculty and staff.

Location: District Wide | Status: Non-Exempt | Schedule: Depends on Assignment, 12-Month Position

Position Summary

The Custodian Substitute supports the school district by performing general cleaning within assigned areas, hallways, restrooms, gyms and school areas in accordance with cleaning schedules and work assignments to provide a safe, clean learning environment for students, faculty and staff.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Boiler license preferred or ability to obtain one.
• Mechanical aptitude for performing and learning repair work
• Custodian experience preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
• Interest in working in a school district environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, employees, and visitors.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with employees.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: The wage for this position is $24.26
