Job summary

The Education Cooperative (TEC) is seeking a full-time custodian to join our team at TEC Academy in Walpole, MA. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., totaling 35 hours per week, with benefits including paid time off and health insurance.

You will perform routine cleaning, restrooms, classrooms, and common areas; assist with event setup; stock supplies; and follow safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills; positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous custodial or cleaning experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, hallways, classrooms, and other school areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste.
• Maintain and stock cleaning supplies and report shortages or equipment needs.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down for school events and activities.
• Perform minor repairs, furniture and equipment assembly, and general handyman/maintenance tasks as needed.
• Ensure that all safety and cleaning protocols are followed.
