Job summary

Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School is seeking a Custodian for the first shift to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors on campus in Marlborough, MA. The role involves on-site work, floor care, waste management, and basic maintenance tasks.

The position requires prior custodian experience in a school setting, ability to perform repetitive cleaning duties, and physical capability to lift up to 40 lb.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to perform repetitive duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
• Tolerance for dust and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lb. on a daily basis.
• May move furniture and heavy objects as needed; snow removal duties may apply.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred; high school/trade school degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keeps buildings and grounds clean and orderly.
• Sweeps, scrubs, finishes floors.
• Empties and cleans waste receptacles.
• Cleans and disinfects toilets and sanitary facilities.
• Washes windows, walls, blinds, and metal work.
• Maintains equipment and materials; moves furniture as needed.
