Job summary

Lakehoma Elementary in Mustang, Oklahoma is hiring for the 2026-2027 school year as a Full-Time Child Nutrition Cafeteria Assistant.

Starting date is immediate. You will assist in portioning, learn basic cooking in core areas, and operate the dish machine and ovens with safety.

You’ll maintain a clean, organized serving line, may serve as cashier, and follow district policies and state/federal rules. Physical duties include lifting up to 35 pounds and working in a hot kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food portions.
• Learns to cook in basic areas such as Main Dish, Salads, Vegetables, Bread and Desserts, specializing in one.
• Learns and operates all kitchen equipment with emphasis on safety (dish machine, ovens, mixers).
• Maintains a clean as you go program and keeps work area tidy.
• May serve as cashier during serving time; cashier duties may apply.
• Follows district policies and state/federal laws.
