Job summary

Community Health Center in New Britain, CT is hiring a Behavioral Health Clinician – Licensed SBHC to provide diagnostic psychosocial evaluations, develop care plans, and deliver individual, family, or group therapy within a school-based clinic.

The role emphasizes direct client care, collaboration with medical and psychiatric providers, and documentation in accordance with Joint Commission standards and CHC policies. This full-time position follows the school calendar (195 days).

Qualifications

• Licensure/certification in CT (LCSW/LMFT/LPC or licensed psychologist) preferred.
• Minimum two years of outpatient experience with children and/or adults.
• Theoretical orientation aligned with brief, problem-focused therapy.
• Reliable transportation to outside consults, meetings, and home visits.
• Written and oral bilingual fluency in language spoken by patient population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes initial behavioral health evaluations; individual, group and family psychotherapy with children and/or adults.
• Run at least five groups per week of direct clinical work.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; warm hand-offs from primary care providers.
• Consult with providers regarding treatment plans and progress; coordinate with psychiatric consultants when needed.
• Attend clinical and component meetings; meet productivity standards and document care.
