Job summary

Chester County Intermediate Unit seeks a Behavior Mentor (RBT) to provide direct behavior support to students with behavioral and emotional needs at the Coatesville campus. You will implement PBSPs, collect data, and collaborate with teachers to reinforce replacement behaviors aligned with IEP goals.

You will work as part of the Student Services team, applying ABA-based strategies, de-escalation techniques, and data-driven planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABA experience preferred.
• Experience with students with significant emotional/behavioral needs desired.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Registered Behavior Technician Credential required within 90 days of hire.
• PA criminal and child abuse clearances current within 180 days prior to start date.
• FBI clearance current within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher by liaising with Behavior staff to implement PBSPs with fidelity.
• Model proactive, evidence-based strategies for classroom staff.
• Collect data on goals and interventions; generate data tracking systems.
• Maintain student paperwork including IEP highlights and PBSPs; track goals.
• Arrange learning environment and perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist with student support, data entry, and incident reporting.
