Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Recordkeeping in Miami, FL to safeguard clients across retail/malls and more. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver customer service to visitors and staff.

As part of a dynamic team, you will document incidents, follow site procedures, and respond promptly to security-related needs. The role requires 2+ years in security, a high school diploma, and compliance with licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help identify and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations.
• Communicate professionally with retail personnel, visitors, and local responders while assisting with directions, lost-property inquiries, and other routine service needs.
