Job summary

C.A. Fortune, a national consumer-centric integrated commerce agency, is hiring a Retail Sales Specialist to service Hy-Vee in Fort Dodge, IA. You will sell products, build relationships with store management, and secure distribution while reporting tasks in our system.

This full-time position offers a hybrid schedule and a competitive compensation package. The role requires at least 1 year of merchandising experience, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Local to Fort Dodge, IA or surrounding area.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Merchandising experience (1 year minimum) is required.
• Excellent communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday with no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Represent a diverse portfolio of brands calling on Hy-Vee.
• Act as liaison between store leadership and manufacturer partners to maximize shelf space, promotions and distribution.
• Pitch new products and secure incremental placement while meeting sales objectives.
• Utilize mobile tech to take photos, report findings and complete tasks.
• Travel between stores within the designated territory and maintain a safe work environment.

Overview of the Role

• C.A. Fortune is looking for a full-time Retail Sales Specialist to service Hy-Vee.
• You will be responsible for selling, building relationships with store management, gaining/maintaining distribution within a variety of accounts as well as reporting tasks in a reporting system, with varied merchandising opportunities
• This is a position where you work independently, follow direction, and have excellent communication skills.
• Reliable transportation, clean driving records, valid driver’s license, and maintaining auto insurance are all required
• Location Hybrid will observe a hybrid schedule half day on Friday- must be local to Fort Dodge, IA, Ames, IA and surrounding areas
• Salary: $ 46,000 - $50,000 depending on years of experience and expertise
• This position is full time 37.5 hours per week
• No Weekends. Work is to be completed between Monday and Friday.

What You’ll Do at C.A. Fortune

• Represent a diverse portfolio of national and regional brands, calling on Hy-Vee
• Function as the primary liaison between store leadership and manufacturer partners to maximize shelf space, promotional execution, and distribution – directly contributing to sales growth
• Pitch new products, secure incremental placement, adapt to quickly shifting business needs while consistently delivering sales objectives in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Utilize mobile technology to take photos, report findings, and complete tasks accurately and efficiently
• Travel to and between store locations within the designated territory.
• Must maintain a safe working environment while working in the stores
• Must adhere to attendance and dress code guidelines
• Must be able to perform physical activities, i.e., frequent standing , walking , bending , squatting , lifting , etc. throughout the workday
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance areall required
