Job summary

Quik Pawn in Pelham, AL is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Associate to help customers with sales, pawn and loan services, and product inquiries. You’ll earn $15.00–$18.00 per hour plus commission and participate in an earned wage access program after day 2.

You’ll work with a variety of merchandise, maintain a clean sales floor, handle cash, and support opening/closing tasks while following store policies and regulations. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working with a variety of merchandise (firearms in FFL locations; certification provided)
• Strong customer service skills and a team‑oriented mindset
• Basic math and computer skills; experience using retail checkout systems is a plus
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries.
• Support customers with pawn and short-term loan services by explaining terms, completing paperwork, and ensuring a smooth, customer-focused experience
• Process sales and loan activity accurately while following company and regulatory guidelines
• Evaluate merchandise for condition and value to support buying, selling, and loan decisions
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and merchandise displays
• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly
• Support store operations, including basic opening/closing tasks
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members
• Complete required training and follow company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
