Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking a Store Associate in Palatine to handle merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and cleaning duties while delivering exceptional customer service. The role averages 30+ hours weekly with a starting wage of $19.50 per hour and scheduled wage increases in subsequent years.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, processing purchases, maintaining stock, assisting with curbside orders, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards across the store.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers and scanning devices.
• Ability to interpret and apply store policies and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary.
• Informs store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Properly utilizes the POS system to scan and process customer purchases accurately.
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures.
• Follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes as required for efficient checkout.
• Stocks shelves and displays neatly per merchandising planograms to maximize sales.
• Completes curbside pickup orders accurately and ensures timely delivery to customers’ vehicles.
