Job summary

Habitat for Humanity Portland Region seeks a full-time Store Associate to manage day-to-day ReStore operations in Beaverton. You will load/unload vehicles, guide volunteers, cashier, and provide exceptional customer service while processing donations and keeping the store safe and organized.

This role requires at least one year of customer service experience, teamwork, reliability, and the ability to operate equipment such as a forklift.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience.
• Ability to work with staff and volunteers under leadership.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Time management to handle donation flow and shifts.
• Ability or willingness to learn to operate tools and equipment including forklift.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and ensuring others follow them.
• Familiarity with communication tools like telephone, email, and 2-way radio.
• Ability to adapt to changing work environment and learn new operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet customers, cashier, and assist with donations.
• Greet donors, inspect donations that meet criteria and decline others.
• Guide volunteers to support assigned tasks.
• Process and price donations.
• Stock merchandise on the sales floor.
• Keep store, receiving areas, break rooms, restrooms, and outdoor spaces clean and organized.
• Assist donation pickups as needed; may be scheduled with team.
• Engage customers and donors in Habitat's mission and invite participation in donation initiatives.
