Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Selinsgrove Center seeks a Residential Services Aide to help individuals build daily living skills and independence. This full-time role offers a 40-hour week with two rotating shifts: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM and 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, no telework, and starting salary of $43,376 per year.

You’ll participate in assessments, implement training plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team while upholding privacy, dignity, and rights of those served.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title).
• Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan Support: Assist with completing assessments and training plan information for each individual.
• Training Delivery: Carry out assigned training plans and procedures to encourage active treatment.
• Progress Monitoring: Record and report information that supports updates to individual plans.
• Team Participation: Communicate with team members to share strengths and needs of individuals.
• Environmental Assistance: Help select, place, and maintain personal items and equipment for therapeutic settings.
• Professional Conduct: Model appropriate behavior while protecting privacy, dignity, and individual rights.
