The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Selinsgrove Center in Snyder County, seeks a Residential Services Aide to support individuals in building daily living skills, independence, and wellbeing. You will join a caring interdisciplinary team dedicated to respect, patience, and teamwork.

This full-time role runs 40 hours weekly with two shifts, no telework, and a starting salary of $43,376.00, rising with tenure within the Civil Service.

Competenze

• Minimum experience and training include completion of the Aide Trainee program or six months paid care experience for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Residency requirement for Pennsylvania and ability to perform essential job functions.
• Criminal history, medical exam and drug screening are required for conditional employment.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the development, delivery, and monitoring of training and treatment services for individuals served at the Selinsgrove Center. The role includes assisting with individualized plans, documenting progress, and working as a part of the interdisciplinary team. As a Residential Services Aide, you will perform the following duties:

• Plan Support: Assist with completing assessments and training plan information for each individual
• Training Delivery: Carry out assigned training plans and procedures to encourage active treatment
• Progress Monitoring: Record and report information that supports updates to individual plans
• Team Participation: Communicate with team members to share strengths and needs of individuals
• Environmental Assistance: Help select, place, and maintain personal items and equipment for therapeutic settings
• Professional Conduct: Model appropriate behavior while protecting privacy, dignity, and individual rights

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are available on the following shifts, with rotating break days and every 3rd weekend off:
  • 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (1st shift), with a 30-minute lunch
  • 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (2nd shift), with a 30-minute lunch
• Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $43,376.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
