Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Lake Success, NY is seeking compassionate Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to provide hands-on personal care to residents in a respectful and dignified manner.

You will assist with Activities of Daily Living, escort residents to meals and activities, support residents’ physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being, and follow the Nurse Shift Supervisor and Wellness Director's instructions. This is a full-time position with one weekend shift per week.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide preferred.
• Experience assisting residents with Alzheimer's and dementia is a plus.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Geriatric population experience preferred, with ADL assistance.
• Follow instructions and establish personal care routines.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Support residents' physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being.
• Assist in Wellness area to ensure safety and comfort.
• Follow policies and instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor.
