Animal Health Centers is seeking a full-time Receptionist and Vet Assistant at our Ottumwa location. If you are outgoing, a lively communicator, and enjoy a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answering multi-line phone
• Schedules appointments via phone and website, along with reminder calls
• Checks in and out surgery animals and patients for appointments

• Count and record inventory
• Assist in keeping inventory stocked and in supply
• Log laboratory samples, packaging and mailing
• Assists in sending monthly statements to our clients
• Generate reports

Animal Health Centers is currently seeking a full -time Receptionist and Vet Assistant at our Ottumwa location. Are you an outgoing, and lively communicator who truly enjoys a fast-paced environment? The successful candidate must have excellent office skills, be computer savvy, have an outgoing personality and display a helpful and positive attitude.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, quality customer service

The hours are ideal if you would like to work 36 – 40 hours/week. This includes a 4-hour shift every other Saturday morning.

Requirements:

Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. (pet food and/or animals)

Candidates must be able to assist veterinarians and technicians with animals’ care.
