Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a full-time ASL Interpreter in Chino, CA for in-person, school-day support. You will provide real-time ASL interpretation for all instructional periods and school activities to ensure access to instruction and engage in classroom discussions.

You will collaborate with teachers, SPED staff, and related service providers, reviewing lesson plans and terminology, while supporting IEP goals and student engagement.

Qualifications

• RID certification is required for the role.
• EIPA score 3.5 or higher is preferred/accepted.
• Strong ASL fluency and ability to interpret in real-time academic settings.
• Experience interpreting in school-based/educational settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP environments and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams can be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time ASL interpretation for all instructional periods and school-related activities.
• Interpret spoken language into ASL and ASL into spoken language to facilitate communication.
• Support student access to upper-elementary academic content, including complex vocabulary and discussions.
• Prepare for sessions by reviewing lesson plans, materials, and subject-specific terminology.
• Collaborate with teachers, SPED staff, and related service providers to support student success and IEP goals.
• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and student engagement while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Support and interface with assistive technology, including FM systems, as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards.
