Job summary

Point Quest Group seeks a full-time ASL Interpreter to support a student throughout the school day in Goodyear, AZ, ensuring access to instruction and activities.

You will interpret in real time during lessons, collaborate with teachers and SPED staff, review plans, and help with transitions while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Required RID certification, EIPA 3.5+, AZ IVP clearance, and strong ASL fluency; school-based experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RID certification is required and EIPA score 3.5 or higher preferred/accepted.
• Strong ASL fluency and ability to interpret in real-time academic settings.
• Experience interpreting in school-based or educational settings preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP environments and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time ASL interpretation for all instructional periods and school-related activities.
• Interpret spoken language into ASL and ASL into spoken language to facilitate communication.
• Support student access to upper-elementary academic content, including complex vocabulary and discussions.
• Prepare for sessions by reviewing lesson plans, materials, and subject-specific terminology.
• Collaborate with teachers, SPED staff, and related service providers to support student success and IEP goals.
• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and student engagement while maintaining professional boundaries.
