Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for a full-time variable shift. The role performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures to support diagnosis, under radiologist supervision.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences, ARRT registration, and 2 years of experience preferred. New grads must register within 12 months. Strong English communication and patient care skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences from an accredited program.
• ARRT registration is required.
• New graduates must be registry eligible and registered within 12 months of hire.
• Two years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures for diagnosis.
• Prepare patient, answer questions, and refer to radiologist when needed.
• Minimize patient discomfort and protect privacy during exams.
• Record exam start/end times in RIS for timely access by radiologist.
• Maintain radiation safety and universal precautions.
• Monitor exam timeliness and quality of care against department goals.
• Perform QA of exams before interpretation.
• Submit work orders when equipment is down.
• Other duties as assigned.
