Job summary

LTC Therapy Services is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant in Lowell, MA. You’ll assist residents with customized PT plans, focusing on mobility, strength, balance, and endurance under a supervising Physical Therapist.

Requirements include an active Massachusetts PTA license and strong observation, communication, and documentation skills. New graduates are welcome to apply and opportunities for CEU reimbursement and career growth are provided.

Qualifications

Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license.
Ability to follow established treatment plans and resident-specific precautions.
Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.
Skilled nursing experience is a plus; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

Provide treatments outlined in residents' individualized physical therapy plans of care.
Guide therapeutic exercises that address strength, balance, and endurance.
Work on walking, bed mobility, and transfers with assistance tailored to each resident's needs.
Reinforce safe movement techniques and proper use of prescribed mobility devices.
Monitor comfort, fatigue, and functional performance, reporting changes to the supervising PT.
Maintain clear treatment documentation and coordinate with nursing and rehabilitation staff to support daily mobility routines.
